Infrastructure

CityPorts Rotterdam lies within the south wing of the Randstad (West Holland conurbation) and is part of the A4 corridor, an important link road between the transport hub of Rotterdam and Schiphol airport. CityPorts has a prime position on the intersection of other main axes, namely the HSL-Zuid (the Dutch section of the European network of high speed railways), the A15 motorway and the Betuwelijn (the rail link for goods trains from the Port of Rotterdam authority to the European hinterlands).

Not all the districts within the CityPorts area are easily accessible, so Rotterdam is investing in a programme of improvements in order to promote regeneration and redevelopment. The main roads, the underlying road network and public transport will all be part of this programme.
