Vierhavens: road capacity to be expanded

A daring experiment for double land use: Vierhavensstraat is to have a business strip with a rooftop park measuring 80 metres in width and almost one kilometre in length! Construction will begin in 2008.

In parallel to the business strip, work will begin on the infrastructure of the district as a whole. Vierhavensstraat forms an important part of the Parklane between the A20 and the inner city, so its capacity will have to be expanded from just a 'harbour road' to an urban thoroughfare. A future tram link is also being considered.
