The waterbus: the preferred mode of transport for CityPorts?

It's expected that by 2008, 600 to 800 students will be enrolled in courses at the Research, Design and Manufacturing campus on the RDM site, so a new public transport service will be required to deal with the numbers. Heijplaat, Pernis and Katendrecht are to be linked to the city centre by waterbus: water-borne public transport. With no traffic jams, shorter journey times, a reduction in CO2 emissions and the opportunity to take your bike along, the waterbus could become the preferred mode of transport for CityPorts Rotterdam.
