Implementation Programme 2007 - 2010

The Implementation Programme describes the following development goals for each district:

Eemhaven and Waalhaven: intensifying short sea activities, modernising port functions and activities, attracting port-related specialist knowledge and services;
Merwehaven and Vierhavens: urbanising the docklands by introducing housing and residentially-friendly industry;
Heijplaat/RDM: preserving the industrial heritage, encouraging energy and creative economy, introducing education and a knowledge economy, maintaining (light) maritime and mixed cargo companies;
Rijnhaven and Maashaven: creating an urban district with housing, industry and attractive facilities.

The Programme lists projects which are due to begin in each area within the next few years.
